Guardira is a Mofu Tatepon Uberhero first introduced in Patapon 3. Prioritizing defense over all, Guardira carries an enormous greatshield to defend himself and his allies. In combat, he can wield the traditional sword and shield like Taterazay but can also bash opponents with his greatshield in a pinch.

Appearance[]

Guardira initially sports a light purple mask in the form of a Mofu Rarepon and wears a white cape by default.

As Guardira evolves, his mask grows larger and darkens, while his horns grow larger, resembling a Mofuuru. Finally, the mask and his horns grow even larger, resembling a Mofurumo.

Acquisition[]

Guardira is at level 7 when unlocked, which is when Taterazay reaches level 7.

When Guardira and Taterazay reach level 10, Bowmunk is unlocked.

Equipment[]

Guardira can be equipped with:

Helms by default.
Swords, Shields and Greatshields by default.
Clubs at level 10.
Halberds at level 15.

Uberhero Mode: Mega Shield[]

During Mega Shield, Guardira manifests a towering energy shield that is capable of blocking nearly any attack and becomes immune to critical hits. A fraction of the damage absorbed by the shield will be redirected towards Guardira. Like Taterazay, Guardira remains in a defensive stance and cannot attack during his Uberhero mode.

All projectiles, including ones that normally pierce terrain, will be stopped. Area-of-effect attacks such as Lasers and large melee attacks can still damage allies behind the shield. The shield is considered a structure-type and will take additional damage from crush and strike blows.

Upon activation, Guardira will shout, "Dekkaidon (デッカイドン)"

Class Skills[]

As with all Class Skills, each skill requires 100,000 experience to master. The amount of experience gained is dependent on the skill. Guardira's Class Skills will be inherited by Taterazay.

Set Skills[]

Guardira can equip up to three Set Skills. At level 20, he can equip another Set Skill, for a total of four.

Strategy[]

As greatshields require two hands to operate, Guardira cannot carry a weapon with a greatshield equipped, greatly reducing his attack power.
- However, Guardira is able to equip Clubs, like Tondenga, which gives him a respectable amount of attack power.
During a Charged Attack with a sword and shield, Guardira will dash forward and strike the closest enemy, then bash all others with his shield to knock them back.
- With a greatshield, Guardira will simply charge forward with his greatshield, knocking all enemies back.
Consider developing Taterazay alongside Guardira, and vice-versa. Taterazay's Shield Evasion-boosting Set and Class skills help out Guardira and Guardira's Status effect blocking class skills help out Taterazay.
Guardira's Uberhero mode has some synergy with other support Uberhero Modes, such as Pingrek's, Bowmunk's, and Piekron's Uberhero Modes, by protecting them while they aid the rest of the team.
Guardira is one of the only classes that can have total immunity over 5 different status effects at the same time without the set skill "Peerless Deer." He shares these immunities with Taterazay.
- If Guardira has obtained all his Class skills, equips a Fireblessed Shield (Burn immunity), a Clown Helm (Freeze immunity) and activates his Hero Mode (Critical immunity), he will be invulnerable to all status effects except Tumble.
In VS play, enemy Myamsars cannot immobilize Guardira or deal x8 damage against him if he is in his Uberhero mode.

Trivia[]

The name Guardira is derived from the word "guard" or "guardian".
Guardira's appearance is very similar to that of the Komupon Kyuro from Patapon 2, a Mofuuru Tatepon Hero.
Guardira, along with Taterazay and Bowmunk, have the lowest HP of all Taterazay-class Uberheroes.
Guardira has the highest Defense of all Uberheroes.
Guardira is the only class that can have nothing equipped in one equipment slot, but only if he has a Greatshield equipped.
A glitch may occur while activating Uberhero Mode and dying simultaneously. When it occurs, Mega Shield will spawn with you and will remain activated until Uberhero mode is activated normally. The spawned Mega Shield will give Guardira a defensive boost. After dying, Mega Shield will stay where he died and block enemy attacks until he respawns again. Slogturtle has a similar glitch.

Occasionally, a glitch will occur where Guardira will be equipped with a normal shield with no weapon. Equipping another shield or weapon automatically makes Guardira equip a weapon again. If going on a mission, Guardira will not be able to deal any damage at all.
Guardira's horns are facing downwards, while Grenburr's horns are facing upwards. Both of their horns form an S-bend.
